​Junior Auxiliary Scholarship​​
Junior Auxiliary of Arkadelphia is excited to announce the opening of its annual scholarship application period.

The Junior Auxiliary Scholarship is available to graduating seniors from Arkadelphia High School and Gurdon High School. In keeping with the organization’s mission to positively impact the lives of local children in the community, Junior Auxiliary of Arkadelphia annually awards two scholarships in the amount of $600 (one to each high school) for students who plan to use their education to impact or enhance the lives of children.

Applications are due and must be postmarked no later than April 15th. The one-page application and essay prompt can be found online at arkadelphiaja.wix.com/Arkadelphia or in print through the Arkadelphia High School Counselor’s office or the Gurdon High School Counselor’s office. Scholarship recipients will be notified at their respective high school scholarship and awards assemblies.

Junior Auxiliary represents a serious endeavor on the part of women to be active and constructive community participants while assuming leadership roles in meeting community needs.

The National Association of Junior Auxiliaries provides their members with the opportunity to serve and to be a vital part of the community while encouraging members to render charitable services which are beneficial to the general public, with particular emphasis on the welfare of children.

Graduate Scholarship Program

NAJA is accepting applications for its Graduate Scholarship Program.  Applicants must be pursuing graduate-level studies for one year in fields which address the special needs of children and youth.  Graduate fields of study include, but are not limited to, counseling, psychology, mental development, special education, speech pathology, exceptional children, remedial skills development, hearing impaired, and gifted and talented.  Applicants must be a permanent U.S. citizen and a permanent resident of Arkansas.  Graduate Scholarships are awarded annually to persons who work or plan to work directly with children.  Since 1962, NAJA has awarded more than $1,268,504 in scholarship funds.
