Junior Auxiliary of Arkadelphia recently welcomed its incoming provisional class for the 2013-2014 year. These Clark County women have shown a desire to serve the children of the area through the JA of Arkadelphia service projects. They will spend six months learning more about the mission of Junior Auxiliary and the organizations they serve, as well as attend chapter meetings and projects to determine if they wish to volunteer their time to their community through this organization for the next five years. One of the first projects that the 2013-2014 JA of Arkadelphia provisional class participated in is Angel Tree, the organization’s main service project. JA of Arkadelphia was able to serve over 600 children in Clark County this year due to the overwhelming support of the community. Junior Auxiliary of Arkadelphia is part of the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries (NAJA), a national non-profit organization that encourages members to render charitable services, which are beneficial to the general public, with particular emphasis on children. The NAJA slogan is "Care Today – Character Tomorrow" and when teamed with the current focus of the association, Junior Auxiliary chapters are working more than ever before to increase awareness of child health and welfare and how it affects their futures.
